Join us on the ground and support our local churches and programs on a 11 day journey in South Africa. Disconnect from your everyday needs and spend time in a different culture, staying present in their needs, hopes and joy. This is your chance to serve the "least of these" (Matthew 25) thereby serving Jesus Himself.

Where We Go
See where we started and experience rural village community.
Mafikeng is a large city surrounded by rural villages. We have been working here for over twenty years with multiple generations. Village life still exists as the area was designated a homeland during Apartheid. Village life is all about community. The pace of life, children and relationships. Spend time serving in 3 to 5 villages, partnering with our church programs and pastors.
Come be a part of the movement in the Western Cape, and serve God in one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
We have been working with communities in the Western cape for the last several years and have made immense progress. Khayelitsha is now the largest township in South Africa. From the launch of our new church to our life skills and vertical farming initiatives, there are countless opportunities to impact the people of the Western Cape.
GO TRIP SCHEDULE
GO trips focus on our four programs. All of our programs are implemented through the local church so you’ll spend time building relationships with the pastor, church and community leaders. And plenty of kids! In the mornings you’ll visit all of our programs and in the afternoon you’ll focus on a specific program area.
And what’s a trip without excursions? We’ll do our best to help you see lions, tigers or bears. Well, maybe not bears... But definitely enough to value the natural beauty of South Africa!

Hear from those who have gone
I got involved with Orchard: Africa through an email sent out to students that mentioned the need for an intern. Three semesters and one trip to South Africa later and I still can’t fathom how blessed I am to be a part of an organization that is making such a huge impact and changing so many lives!Savannah Kralovec Go Team Member

Getting involved with Orchard: Africa is a life-changing experience. The compassion and care they bring to the communities they work with in South Africa, along with the expertise and excellence in hosting and leading mission teams is second to none. They truly embody what it means to “be the Church”. Everyone in my group came home having met God in a brand new way. Amazing!David Valentine Go Team Leader
Little did I know the impact that Orchard: Africa would have on our team. I co-led a team of university students to Mafikeng and my life was forever changed. We experienced a love for the people of South Africa that none of us expected, but are immensely grateful for. Once a part of the Orchard family, always a part of the Orchard family!Matt Huard Go Team Leader
