    Field Notes: Mochudi is located 15 miles north of city of Gaberone. The village population is approximately 8,000. The unemployment and poverty rate is high. Children are orphaned, vulnerable and neglected due to high HIV & AIDS rate. Many face constant hunger.

    Country Notes: Botswana is located in Southern Africa landlocked between South Africa, Namibia, Zambia & Zimbabwe. The main ethnic groups are the Batswana and BaKalanga. Over 70% of the country is desert area and the main industry is diamond mining. Botswana has the second highest HIV infection rate in the world..
