There is a sound. A pace. A rhythm that is Africa.

There is an embrace. A response. A story to be told.

There is you. And me. And us.

Let us celebrate with a gala, immersed in the rhythms of African life.

Ticket sales for The Rhythms of Africa have closed.

what to expect

Elegance

The dress code is smart-casual, but why not dress to the nines for your elegant evening at Squaw Peak?

Giving

Between the raffle, Orchard: Community, live auction and choir competition, you’ll not only have diverse opportunities to give while sticking to your giving plan, but also leave knowing you’ve helped to protect the vulnerable in Southern Africa.

Celebration

It will be a night of enthusiasm and rejoicing as we celebrate the successes of the past year and look into the opportunities ahead.

Fine Dining

A fun cocktail hour with appetizers will be followed by a plated sit-down dinner while you enjoy the evening’s entertainment and program. You can choose from a fish, steak or vegetarian entree.  A cash bar will be on hand with beer, wine, and cocktails.  Dessert and coffee will be served under the evening stars.

Unique Experiences

From the moment you arrive until your evening ends, you’ll experience the rhythms of life in a South African village. With the premier of our very first short film, live music, and preformances from village children’s choirs, it’ll be an evening to remember.

Photo Booth

Make use of our African themed props to capture the excitment of the night, and then share your favorite photos on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Last year was my second Orchard: Africa gala and I absolutely loved it! It’s so cool to see what goes into building the ministry every year and to see how impactful their programs are. Orchard is my favorite charity to support because of how much they care about their supporters. I can’t wait to go again this year!  – Ali Erbes

Sponsor the gala

Each year we set a goal of having the gala completely paid for prior to the event. By becoming a sponsor, you are helping to ensure that all funds raised at the gala directly benefit the vulnerable in Southern Africa. Here’s how you can help:

Be a Named Sponsor

We have several levels of sponsorship avaiable to fit most marketing budgets. With your donation, we’ll promintly display your company’s logo online and at the event (e.g., on the program, at the photobooth, on this web page, etc…).

donate auction items

This year’s gala will have a special treat: a live auction! And we need you help to make it a success. We’re looking for airline miles / vouchers, timeshare stays, vacation rentals, and other great adventure items. Cash donations would also help us build a trip to South Africa to be auctioned off.

donate raffle item(s)

One of the most popular ways to give is by donating a basket to our raffle, which raises thousands of dollars each year. From Disney Park Passes to wine and cheese pairings or pampered pet packages, you can donate just about anything to raise money and bring blessings and hope to South Africa!
